Advertising on COAST buses:

Get your message out there! Advertise on COAST buses: We have a fleet of 24 buses and trolleys operating in a service area with a population of more than 135,000. COAST buses are a very cost-effective method of outdoor advertising, traveling throughout the day on many of the region's major corridors. For more information, please visit our transit advertising partner's web site at http://www.atatransit.com.

COAST seeks quotes for 1-2 accessible low-floor minivan conversions. RFQ closes September 17th.

COAST seeks proposals for website services. RFP closes September 17th.

COAST will be upgrading all bus stop signs on routes 1, 2, 6, 7 and trolleys 40/41 this summer to include the bus schedule at each stop. Keep an eye out for them! This will provide better information for passengers on the route as well as reduce paper waste of printed schedules.

In 2009, COAST was awarded $3.25 million in ARRA funding. See our ARRA page for complete details on related projects.

COAST promotes the use of alternative modes of transportation.

Listed here are other options for traveling within the Seacoast or beyond.

Regional transit: Wildcat Transit (operated by the University of New Hampshire)

Interstate:

  • C&J (serving Dover, Portsmouth, and Newburyport to Boston Logan Airport and South Station)
  • Greyhound for other locations in the United States (pick-up in downtown Portsmouth on Hanover St.)

Bicycling: SABR (Seacoast Area Bike Routes)

Trying to get to other parts of New Hampshire such as Manchester, Concord, or Nashua? We get this question often. Unfortunately, there is no service between the Seacoast and other parts of the state. If you are trying to get to Manchester Airport, we can recommend Hampton Shuttle, a private van pick-up service. Otherwise, we can only suggest that you contact your local and state representatives and urge them to support public transit between the Seacoast and the capitol corridor.
