Dover, NH: Cooperative Alliance for Seacoast Transportation, more commonly known as COAST, will see its funding from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) reduced by $341,980 overall for FY24. The decrease is a result of changes in the calculations that determine apportionments coupled with increased growth in urbanized areas nationwide that outpaced overall funding increases.

Dover, NH: COAST has received two $10,000 grants on behalf of the Alliance for Community Transportation (ACT) from Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and the Greater Rochester Community Health Foundation. The funds will support ACT and will serve as a match to federal funds.

COAST has been selected as Nonprofit of the Year by the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce. The announcement was made on April 16 and the award will be given at the chamber’s 2024 Annual Awards Gala on May 9.

The grant funds will help support the final design and construction of the nonprofit organization's new administration, operations, and maintenance facility in Dover.
