October is Community Transportation Month in New Hampshire and we’re celebrating with a Fare Free Saturday aboard all COAST buses and vehicles on Saturday, October 25. 

This is the second Fare Free Saturday Cross Insurance has sponsored this year and we are grateful for their continued investment in ensuring that everyone has access to the opportunities they need to succeed.

Started by the New Hampshire Transit Association (NHTA), in collaboration with the State Coordinating Council for Community Transportation (SCC) Community Transportation Month is a way to help shine the light on the types of public and community transportation available to Granite Staters—and to celebrate the economic and social benefits that public transit generates.

Muckenhoupt will be responsible for building financial resources that will allow the organization to fulfill their mission of providing a broad range of public transportation services, connecting and coordinating a robust network of options for everyone in the Greater Seacoast.

DOVER, NH: The Cooperative Alliance for Seacoast Transportation, more commonly known as COAST, has received a $25,000 grant from the Foundation for Seacoast Health. The funds will support travel training for seniors in Portsmouth and the surrounding communities, and the creation of a set of educational videos about various aspects of using COAST’s services.
